It really isn’t too early to start on next year’s Festival. It is going to be held on August 19th and 20th, 2011 at 807 Skinner Creek road, Port Allegany, Pa. 16743

I wanted to give a big thank you to all of the people, businesses and newspapers that supported, attended and helped at the second annual 2010 Festival of Choirs USA®. The Festival was held at 807 Skinner Creek Road in Port Allegany.

A very special thank you to John and Jean Mallery in Port Allegany. They blessed the Festival with many, many things including the hand crafted flagpole with Gabriel blowing the trumpet facing the east. They also hosted our team with accommodations that were very much appreciated.

I have been receiving very good feedback from a lot of people. It has really been encouraging knowing that there is great interest in restoring the choirs back into the churches to where they once were.

There was a FANTASTIC crew that helped make the Festival happen not only before the time I got to Port Allegany, but also thereafter.

We had the opportunity to have Andrea Hough from this past seasons TV show “The Biggest Loser” as a special speaker. She was incredible and enjoyed by everyone. She even gave away two T shirts that she had from the show when they went to the U.S. Olympics with the official Olympics side arm patch.

I want to thank the churches and their congregations that entered the Festival this year. They each were judged on five different points. It was not an easy task to judge the choirs, but from what I was told it was very close.

There was about a 40% increase in attendance this year from last year. That was also very encouraging. The tent size that we used at the Festival this year was a 40’ X 100’. Next year I am looking forward to having to increase the size.

Euretta Amell had her famous Chicken and biscuit dinner meal available that was enjoyed very much.

The circulation that the Festival received through Solomon’s Word and this website was incredible! I want to personally thank Mr. Jim Jones from http://solomonswords.blogspot.com/ and Mr. Aaron Bull from Bull & Crowley Media Works  757.392.1434 for all of their encouragement and efforts that they gave to us to get the word out about the Festival.

Next year’s third annual Festival of Choirs USA® will be held on August 19th and 20th, 2011 at 807 Skinner Creek Road, Port Allegany, Pa. If your church is in a radius of seventy miles of Port Allegany, Pa. and you want to enter them in next year’s choir competition please contact me in any of the ways listed below. Andrea Hough was one of the contestants on this years Biggest Loser TV show on NBC.

Andrea is coming to the 2010 Festival this year as a guest speaker. She will be giving her testimony and talking about her experiences singing and with choirs.

The picture here of Andrea and myself was taken when she came to visit us in Virginia. We are so looking forward to everyone hearing her testimony and how God has been a vital part of her life.
